The Recruitment team at Fortescue is held in great esteem, partnering with business leaders to providing expert advice and service to ensure we attract and source the highest calibre of people to meet business and operational requirements.
We are looking to expand our high functioning team and are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Recruitment Advisor to join the Operations team to source and manage the recruitment activities across the Chichester Hub. Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment efforts for key positions by partnering closely with hiring managers and Recruitment Advisors to understand talent needs, develop sourcing strategies, and drive the recruitment process from start to finish
- Serve as a subject matter expert on recruitment best practices, market trends, and industry benchmarks, providing guidance, advice, and recommendations to hiring managers and Recruitment Advisors
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation
- Source and engage potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media platforms, networking events, and industry associations
- Manage candidate pipelines, track recruitment metrics, and provide regular updates and reports to senior management on recruitment activities, progress, and outcomes
- Mentor and coach members of the recruitment team, providing support, feedback, and development opportunities to enhance their skills and capabilities
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives, recruitment marketing campaigns, and talent acquisition projects to enhance our reputation as an employer of choice in the mining industry
Qualifications and Experience
- Substantial proven previous experience managing a large recruitment portfolio. Experience within an internal recruitment team will be highly regarded
- An established track record of successful high-volume recruitment within the mining industry
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes, candidate assessment methodologies, and employment legislation in Australia
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence decision-making, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Experience using Success Factors Recruitment module is desirable
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritise competing demands, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
