Job description
As a Senior Region Advisor you will -- Build and maintain cohesive and functional relationships across Local Government Division- Maintain advanced knowledge and understanding of the local government sector,including legislative framework, in order to build council capability and provide advice to and from the Department on a range of matters (including Council statutory obligations, governance, project management and financial sustainability issues).- Work with Councils to ensure grants projects are delivered on time and within the approved scope; and provide accurate and timely reporting into the Department's grants management systems to ensure effective project monitoring.- Demonstrate high-level communication and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders and clients- Prepare written material (including outgoing correspondence, briefs and reports)- Participate in the delivery of training activities, workshops, meetings, seminars and events.- Duties may vary from time to time.
