The Department of Education (DoE) sets the foundations for quality early learning experiences and delivers world class education services. The department also hosts the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority which is responsible for regulating Early Childhood education and care services.
Your Role:
- Support the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority by consistently and fairly applying relevant Early Childhood education and care (ECEC) legislation, standards, policies and guidelines in the regulation of the ECEC sector within the context of the Regulating for Quality policy.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Regional Offices, and ECEC providers and services to achieve regulatory outcomes.
- The Senior Regulatory Officer reports to the Manager, Regional Operations, Early Childhood Regulatory Authority, Early Childhood Branch, Early Childhood and State Schools Division.
Responsibilities include:
- Consistently and fairly applying relevant Early Childhood education and care (ECEC) legislation, standards, policies and guidelines in the regulation of the ECEC sector within the context of the Regulating for Quality policy.
- Conduct assessment and rating of education and care services across Queensland.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Regional Offices, and ECEC providers and services to achieve regulatory outcomes
About You:
The successful applicant will have the following qualities:
- Experience as a regulator or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of regulating the ECEC sector;
- Experience in conducting assessment and rating or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge and complete training in conducting assessment and rating;
- ability to prioritise and complete projects and tasks efficiently;
- the ability to manage risk and prioritise the work;
- the ability to work collaboratively with a range of different stakeholders.
