We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Relationship Manager with a background in banking. As a Senior Relationship Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong partnerships with valued clients, driving business growth, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
You will be part of a team of experienced Relationship Managers and credit analysts to help the business achieve financial targets and strong risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining client/broker expectations and working relationships with all stakeholders, including participation in meetings, calls and functions.
- Gather all relevant underwriting information, financial reports, and market research to facilitate new business acceptance and renewal of existing accounts.
- Preparing financial model, risk grade and risk submission for new and existing client facilities, as well as make commercial decisions within a delegated authority.
- Review and finalise risk submission written by Credit Analysts.
- Compile and execute terms sheet for new clients and facility renewals / variations, as well as the creation of tax invoices.
- Liaise with panel lawyers with respect to the creation and execution of new security documents, as well as the maintenance of existing security documents.
- Provide ongoing coaching and knowledge sharing to Surety Credit Analysts for their career progression.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Additional certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in relationship management within the banking industry, preferably in Commercial, Corporate or Institutional Banking.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and managing client relationships.
Strong Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Commercial Construction, Infrastructure and Civil sectors.
Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex concepts and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, assess risk, and develop tailored solutions.
Team Player: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Customer Focus: A customer-centric mindset, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
