​Senior Relationship Manager – Alternate Distribution Partners

  • VIC, QLD or NSW Location – Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Parramatta or Newcastle offices

About your opportunity

The Senior Relationship Manger Alternative Partners is a business leadership role which works closely with our modern digital platform owners and underwriters to create customer propositions for new and existing partners. You will be accountable for enabling the sustainable growth of the Consumer SME business by taking on business development responsibilities for winning new distribution partnerships that align to our SME insurance strategy.

How will I help?

Working as part of the leadership team you will play a key role in sourcing, reviewing and structuring partnerships with alternative distribution partners for SME customers, to deliver on customer and partner needs in new and innovative ways. Some of your key accountabilities will include;
  • Responsible for business development and partner management, including developing partnership plans, commercial construct, roadmap, success criteria and key metrics
  • Develop a product roadmap of features to meet the prioritised needs of distribution partners, customers and underwriting teams
  • Manage the balance of partner expectations and business capabilities to deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives (pace, risk appetite, pricing, systems. innovation etc)
  • Confirm partnership outcomes via contract terms and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the Consumer Partnership team to ensure alignment to current and future partnerships model and QBE’s risk appetite, including underwriting and product
Your story so far

To be successful in this role you will have experience in Partnership Management ideally from within the Financial Services or Insurance industry. You will also have;
  • Strong sales and commercial acumen skills
  • Excellent strategy development, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship management and communications skills
  • Demonstrable experience in creating new partnerships that centre around innovative products or distribution approaches.
  • Knowledge of statutory/regulatory regime
  • Strong management skills
