About the Role
TRONOX, is recruiting for a Mechanical Reliability Engineer for a permanent position at our Bunbury Operations in the idyllic South West of WA.
The position provides support to our Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) Refinery at Kemerton and the nearby Finishing Plant in Australind.
The successful candidate will monitor maintenance systems and production detractors, making data driven change that consistently moves the Business and Maintenance Department towards ever improving asset performance and cost savings.
Reporting to the Lead Reliability and Integrity Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading reliability improvement within the Maintenance team. You will analyse the performance of operating assets and deliver long term asset improvement.
  • Be accountable for reviewing and implementing improvements to the sites' maintenance strategies.
  • Supporting the maintenance team as required for sustaining capital projects.
  • Facilitate change within the team, helping and coaching maintenance personnel to improve strategies and eliminate inefficiencies from the maintenance processes.
  • Improve asset operational time through Asset Management, Condition Monitoring, Defect Elimination, Root Cause Analysis, Managing Machine Heath Programs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.

About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally possess:
  • A relevant tertiary level qualification in Engineering (Mechanical) or other closely related field
  • Relevant post graduate maintenance or reliability experience
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques for rotating and fixed assets.
  • Project Management experience of small to medium capital maintenance projects
The following experience would be highly advantageous to your application:
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of applicable Australian, ASME and API Pressure Piping, Pressure Equipment and Tank Codes
  • Working Knowledge of Fitness for Service assessment of pressure equipment
