What's more, you'll find all these great shows (and more) on our free-to-air channels (10, 10 Bold, 10 Peach, Nickelodeon), our digital platform 10 Play that also includes a vast array of Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV known as FAST (including numerous MTV and Nickelodeon channels), and our subscription video on demand service Paramount+.This is a Permanent Full-Time role based in Sydney.As a Senior Reporter with 10 News First you will organize news coverage, originate, research and produce news stories of high quality, reporting to the Executive Editor.Functions will include:

• Generate and pitch story ideas from concept through to broadcast for television news.
• Work under extreme time pressures and meet multiple daily deadlines to produceclear and accurate TV news content.
• Independently ideate and execute highly complex stories with minimal management input
• Confidently report live on all breaking news events
• Cover Chief of Staff shifts at any time.
• Regularly pitch and line up stories.
• Ideate, create, and publish television assets including video, graphics, stills, and run live coverage from planning to publishing across platforms.

What are we looking for in a Senior Reporter? What's important?

• Solid news judgement, logistically savvywith TV news reporting
• Strong communication skills tailored for television, both on-air and off.
• Ability to make quick, accurate decisions under extreme pressure, in line with TV news deadlines.
• Extensive experience as a television news journalist, with a strong track record in TV news reporting
• In-depth understanding of local, national, and international issues, with a focus on creating TV content for multiple audiences across different platforms.
• Knowledge of ENPS and non-linear editing, with a specific emphasis on TV news production.
• Flexibility to work across different shifts, including some weekends, to meet the demands of TV news coverage.
• High-level understanding and application of media law
