About This Opportunity:
As a Senior Research Chemist in our Melbourne hub, you will be a crucial part of our RD&I team, reporting directly to the Regional Platform Manager. Your primary mission? Develop and maintain the Coil product portfolio for South Asia, making impactful decisions and contributing to cutting-edge research in Industrial Coatings.What You'll Do:
• Innovative Project Design - Creatively design new products, formulations, and test protocols to support the Coil business.
• Strategic Management - Effectively lead multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business and market needs.
• Global Collaboration - Collaborate closely with regional and global product development teams, influencing the direction of projects.
• Experimentation Expertise - Execute, analyze, and report experiments, identifying new product/process optimization and technical solutions.
• Documentation & Compliance - Maintain and improve research methods, ensuring compliance with AkzoNobel standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Engage with various departments and research locations, fostering a collaborative environment.What We Require:
• Industry Experience: 6-9 years in the Industrial Coatings sector.
• Educational Background: PhD, Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/Polymer Science or equivalent.
• Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. Proficiency in English.
• Attributes: Self-motivated, team player, adaptable, and results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
