A new exciting opportunity is currently available for an energetic Senior People and Culture Advisor to join the People and Culture department at Hudson Institute of Medical Research, an Australia's leading Medical Research Institute.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you will utilize your expertise in the full spectrum of all employee life cycle, uplifting the People and Culture capabilities through contributing to some exciting transformational projects. This role represents a canvas of change and transformation touch. The Senior People and Culture Advisor will provide tailored advice, support and guidance to the line managers all on People and Culture, programs, procedures, practises and initiatives. This role will suit someone who has a blend of generalist, organisational development and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion experiences and expertise.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The role will suit someone who has:

  • Minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experiences showcasing good leadership, conflict resolution, relationship building, negotiating skills
  • Strong knowledge, interpretation and understanding of current employment legislations
  • Ability to maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels including committees
  • Strong verbal, written communication, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ethical and compliance-oriented thinker with a business mindset and sound judgement
  • Highly collaborative, genuine, team orientated and flexible to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficient in using Microsoft tools and knowledge of HRIS systems (i.e. ActionHRM or others)

Qualifications desired:

  • A Bachelor qualification in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Law or others
  • A Professional Membership with AHRI or CIPD or working towards

Your responsibilities include:

  • End to end people processes across all employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Develop, review and implement effective HR internal process and advise on continuous improvement opportunities
  • Assist on management of employment relations matters and grievances as they arise
  • Identify and deliver key initiatives to support the Diversity, Equity and inclusion agenda and priorities
  • Support with identifying capability gaps and lifting leadership capability through effective OD framework
  • You will help mapping succession planning, ensuring talent and leadership development, overseeing talent pipeline and support talent needs.
  • Support in designing, crafting and rolling out of employee engagement and Culture initiatives and programs
  • Support in delivering a structured performance management framework for all employees as well assisting in delivering annual reviews 
  • You will monitor, analyse training need analysis, designing, organising and facilitating trainings
  • Actively participating in wider P&C projects to ensure a successful organisational culture
  • Lead on P&C Audit, Reporting, Compliances and statistics review

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

This position is available in a Full time or Part time capacity (0.6 – 1.0 FTE). Salary is based on Scientific Support Group ranging from Tap 6-7 dependent on level of experience of candidate. Superannuation of 11% and very attractive salary packaging options are available to enhance home pay.
