We are an Indigenous-led health research centre focusing on Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing. We undertake multidisciplinary research to enhance understanding of diverse health issues affecting Indigenous peoples, reduce health inequity and improve health outcomes.
In addition, we aim to nurture the next generation of Indigenous research leaders. About This OpportunityThe UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Fellowto work on a range of projects. As a Senior Research Fellow, you will engage in research and leverage of your established record of achievement and national recognition in your discipline to develop your international reputation. At this level, it is expected that you will perform a range of high-level service and engagement roles and activities.

This is a part-time (60%), fixed-term position for up to 12 months. At Academic level C, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $132,201 - $152,202, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $154,676 - $178,076 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.

About YouCompletion of a PhD in the discipline areas of Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Public Health, or Health Services.
An established profile in research in the discipline area.
National recognition in your area of expertise, with an internationally developing profile and an established record of publications in reputed refereed journal and presenting at conferences.
A strong record of successfully seeking, obtaining, and managing external research funding.
A solid record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
A growing record of meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with a strong contribution to external activities.
Experience in Indigenous Health or community services would be highly regarded.
