Where you'll be working
You will be based in the Intensive Care Unit at Manning Hospital, a part of the Hunter New England Local Health District.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the position is to provide safe and effective care to patients admitted to the Manning hospital under appropriate supervision whilst developing expertise in critical care practice in a complex clinical environment.
The position will provide the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in the Critical Care specialty in a hands on capacity with direct access and supervision from our team of Intensive Care Consultants.

- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
- Demonstrated interest in a future career in Intensive Care Medicine or acute care (Emergency Medicine and Anaesthetics) and evidence of continued professional development and self-education in this area of practice.
- Demonstrated capacity to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
- Demonstrated high level of organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to convey information to both a clinical and non-clinical audience.
- Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
