We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Roads Engineer to join our Capital Works Team.
About this Role
As our Senior Roads Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning, developing, supervising, and delivering major recurrent civil maintenance programs and capital works projects, with a primary focus on road resurfacing programs. This position will involve supporting the development and delivery of road pavement rehabilitation programs, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of road infrastructure.
The Senior Roads Engineer will also be responsible for overseeing various aspects of other road-related capital works projects, providing guidance and expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on road infrastructure and contribute to the overall development of the Latrobe City community.
About You
For this role we are seeking someone who possess excellent technical writing skills and the ability to review technical specifications and prepare contract documentation. You will have strong project management skills, including the ability to exercise professional independent judgement, are essential to ensure project success. You will also have exceptional interpersonal skills to negotiate and influence stakeholders effectively, while providing sound advice to achieve project objectives.
You will also need:
- Certificate of currency in line with the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
- Approved tertiary civil engineering qualification
- A practical knowledge of civil works principles and practices especially in the field of sealed roads maintenance and rehabilitation works.
- Demonstrated experience with using road condition rating or works management/tracking systems.
- Demonstrated experience in road surfacing and pavement rehabilitation principles and practices.
- Experience in quantifying, ordering, and controlling resources and materials required on varying levels of project complexity.
