About the role:
As Senior WH&S Officer, you will provide a hands-on, collaborative approach to all WHS matters. Working onsite in Moorebank on one of the largest Industrial Projects in the Southern Hemisphere, you will have influence for the safety of up to 200 contractors onsite each day. Reporting to the WH&S Director in conjunction with the Site Manager, Working Monday - Saturday between 6am - 5.30pm your responsibilities will include:
:
- Development and implementation of WHS documentation policies and procedures.
- Investigating and Analysing WHS data to monitor accidents, incident trends and provide reports as necessary inclusive of remedial action.
- Providing services covering specific areas of WH&S such as accidents and injuries investigations, preventative measures, facility inspections
- Development, and monitoring of subsequent action plans to address identified deficiencies in the WHS Audits.
- Organising training sessions for management, supervisors and workers on health and safety practices and legislation and maintaining a record of this
- Supporting managers and supervisors from all company premises to manage the WHS responsibilities within their functional areas.
- Developing a Health, Safety and Wellness Strategy, safety alerts and initiatives
- Ensuring induction of new starters appropriately covers all aspects of WH&S including roles and responsibilities of individual team members.
- Utilising WH&S Safety Systems and updating.
- Conducting ICAM investigations
A bit about you:
- 3-5 years WH&S experience in Construction or Warehouse setting
- Cert IV in WH&S essential
- Passion for safety, mentoring and coaching others.
