What you’ll contribute to
The Aftersales Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all national parts and accessories activities including sales, business development, procurement, supplier management, Dealer support and warehouse operations in order to achieve sales volume, market share, profitability objectives and optimise warehouse operations to global best standards.
The Senior Safety & Sustainability Specialist is primarily responsible for implementing and maintaining safety and sustainability strategies and programs to support TMCA’s zero harm OHS/WHS strategy, to create a positive impact on environmental sustainability/carbon neutrality within the Aftersales Division, and to manage stakeholders with respect to safety culture, compliance, and sustainability initiatives.
How you’ll make an impact
Implement and review OHS/WHS and sustainability processes and procedures consistent with set policies in order to achieve TMCA’s zero harm objectives and sustainable development goals.
Develop OHS/WHS annual plan, periodically review performances, and form remedial plans.
Mentors Safety and Environmental personnel by providing guidance, advice, and feedback.
Initiate and implement environmental sustainability and carbon neutral initiatives.
Monitors/reports on the progress and impact of program outcomes.
Provide advice on and assist managers in the development of policies and standards in relation to OHS/WHS and sustainability to support TMCA’s warehousing and logistics operations nationally.
Facilitate the collection, reporting, and review of data to ensure that performance gaps are highlighted and that the business has accurate information for decision making.
Coordinate and facilitate forums to ensure that OHS/WHS and sustainability plans, activities, and expectations are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.
Provides specialist support for the assessment and selection of suppliers and business partners to secure delivery of goods and services of the expected quality and at optimal cost.
Coordinate safety and environmental audits and assessments in line with applicable standards, relevant regulations, and statutory requirements to minimise TMCA’s risk exposure and liabilities.

Degree qualification in sustainability, environmental science, geography, occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience
5+ years’ accumulative experience including OHS/WHS and Environmental Management roles.
Experience in change management
Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
Understanding of warehousing operations
Understanding of environmental behaviours in the workplace and the sustainable development agenda of the business
Track record in meeting critical deadlines
Strong stakeholder management and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with all.
Ability to maintain all relevant safety processes and compliance documentation consistently to a high standard.
Excellent problem solving and lateral thinking skills.
In depth knowledge of safety regulations & Sustainability best practice
