TEACHING AND LEARNING SUPPORT

OVERVIEW
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled professional to join the School of Arts and Humanities, providing specialised administrative support for the School. We are looking to recruit a Senior School Officer to support a broad range of processes contributing to the day-to-day functioning of the School.

THE ROLE
The role will focus on a range of processes supporting the Teaching and Learning functions in the School including assessment extension requests, student progression, academic integrity and misconduct, formal reviews and appeals, as well as support for relevant committees and panel meetings. When problems arise, you will be expected to generate solutions in consultation with academic staff and senior colleagues and implement them successfully. On occasion, you may be required to assist with other general administrative work in the School, which may involve contracts, human resource management, and financial processes.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
You will be a self-motivated, solutions-focused individual who thrives in a busy and complex environment and enjoys working collaboratively. You will have a good understanding of and experience in supporting teaching and learning processes within a higher education context. You will have great attention to detail, especially in written communication and data management, as well as a capacity to support academic staff in the School.

You will work in a supportive environment as a member of the School’s Operations Team, reporting to the Team Leader Teaching and Research Services. On a day-to-day basis you will work closely with academic and professional colleagues in the School. You will often interact with other schools, central university services and key external stakeholders.
