Our dedicated Service Desk team provide exceptional ICT technical knowledge and support as a single point of contact between users and the City’s ICT services. Reporting to the Service Desk Lead you will support and enhance this service delivery by being the point of escalation for those unique and complex issues that require further expertise and experience to resolve. With a service ethos committed to resolve issues and minimise system downtime, you will also complete standard set up activities and use appropriate tools and methods to address users’ support queries.
This role requires a comprehensive knowledge of Incident, Service Request and Problem Management ITIL processes, Microsoft Windows operating systems, end user hardware (desktop and mobile devices) and all software installation and configuration. An understanding of Microsoft Server and Messaging solutions (Active Directory, Group Policy and Exchange), Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager and TCP/IP networking is preferred.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide guidance and support in layman’s terms, with a demonstrated analytical and systematic approach to issue resolution. A tertiary qualification in Information Technology and ITIL 4 Foundation, or demonstrated capacity and commitment to progress towards achieving either of these, is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, end user hardware (desktops and mobile devices) and software installation and configuration.
ITIL 4 Foundation qualification, including the comprehensive knowledge of Incident, Service Request and Problem Management ITIL processes.
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or demonstrated capacity to progress towards achieving these qualifications.
We are offering a gross salary of $82,627 per annum, and:
11% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
