AddressMetro South Addiction and Mental Health Services are looking for a part time Senior Social Worker to join their team. The AAPU is a 64 bed Unit facility which is a designated mental health facility under the Queensland Mental health Act 2016. The Multidisciplinary team aims to provide high quality, safe, patient focused specialised mental health and drug and alcohol care to patients who are usually over the age of 18 years, and who present with severe mental illness or are at risk of developing severe mental illness. Care provided is multidisciplinary, trauma informed, family centric, culturally sensitive, evidence based and recovery oriented.

About the Role
The purpose of this role is to deliver Senior Social Worker services within the Acute Adult Psychiatric Unit, PAH.
This includes:
- Delivering high quality evidenced based Social Work clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning multidisciplinary team.
- Contribution to the advancement of quality Social Work services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
- Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.
- Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's).
