Senior Social Worker (504901)

The Role:

• Provide comprehensive, evidence based clinical assessment, treatment, and assertive case management service, including the development and implementation of specialist treatment programs, group programs, community education and the provision of specialist social work reports as required.
• Assist the Team Leader - CAMHS and Allied Health Director - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, as required, to implement the model of professional supervision for Social Workers employed within CAMHS, including the coordination of peer supervision programs, students and less experienced staff as required.
• Provide expert social work advice in regional and state forums as required.
• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and processes based on evidence of best practice in Social Work.
• Maintain accurate records and provide accurate reports and statistics.

Details of Appointment

Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $120,114 - $130,181 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible

• Please note that access to salaries beyond $126,845 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme 
• Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

1. Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

2. Full member of Australian Association of Social Workers, or,

3. Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)

   • Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership to the AASW

4. Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements

5. Current Working with Children Registration

1. Current Driver’s Licence

2. Expertise in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
