We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to play a pivotal role in the advancement of our NVivo qualitative data analysis product. As a Senior Software Developer, you will collaborate seamlessly with our global NVivo development team, QA professionals, and DevOps specialists to develop and sustain software applications and components upholding the highest quality standards.
To excel in this role, you should have a demonstrable history of achievement in software development and be well-versed in Agile methodologies, specifically the Scrum framework. This person will work on an international team, so the successful candidate will need be adept at working in a cross-cultural environment. Proficiency in C++/C# programming languages is a must.
This role is remote with the opportunity for hybrid work in Melbourne, Australia. This role is full-time. It will report to the Director of Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Adhere to and implement industry-recognized software engineering best practices, emphasizing documentation, performance optimization, maintainability, and code reusability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project team members and internal stakeholders, to meet objectives set by the Product Manager.
Design, develop, and sustain intricate functional components focusing on efficiency and security, while mentoring junior developers to foster a culture of best practices and team success.
Interface with external teams to facilitate the deployment of new systems and features, troubleshoot issues, and foster a collaborative knowledge-sharing environment.
Ensure DevOps procedures are effectively implemented for streamlined software builds and releases.
Contribute to the evolution of the Company’s software portfolio through the optimization of development tools and practices.
Uphold high standards of ethics and performance.
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field. Can substitute a combination of relevant experience and education.
4+ years of software engineering experience.
Proficient in C# and C++ programming languages.
Experience using Agile Scrum methodologies.
Exceptional problem solving and debugging abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with .NET Core and Swift
Demonstrated experience in rapid prototyping. Salary
