About the role
V/line's technology team are currently on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Full Stack Developer. The development team is responsible for successful delivery of key IT projects in alignment with strategic programs within the organisation. The successful candidate will be working closely with project teams around the design of new and existing applications, completing the analysis, design, build and testing of assigned functionality within allocated timeframes.
As our new Senior Software Developer, you will also act as a mentor to less experienced developers in the team and be tasked with providing input to internal meetings where you will advocate for best software engineering practices. E.g. automated testing, continuous improvements and continuous delivery.
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience with software development practices and Agile methodologies
- Microsoft or AWS certifications, highly desirable
- Proven experience designing and implementing software design patterns and best practises
- Technology experience essential to the role;
- C#, .Net 6 or above
- Angular 14 or above
- SQL Server, 2016 or above
- Entity Framework, Linkq2DB, or other ORM's
- ASP .Net CORE, Web API, MVC, RESTful services
- Typescript, HTML, CSS, JSON, XML
- RabbitMQ, SignalR
- AWS (Compute, Storage, Integration, IaaC, Networking)
- Development source control tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins or others)
- Tertiary qualification in Software Development/Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline, highly desirable

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 2019.
