A new senior Sous chef position has been created to help support our growing team, you will be instrumental in the continued success of providing high level hospitality and excellent workplace culture.
You will help lead a large, well organised brigade that values hard work and a healthy balanced lifestyle. We pride ourselves on our team and offer a workplace that is enjoyable and respectful. Senior Sous Chef Role:
- Direct support to exec chef, head chef, Sous Chef and junior Sous Chefs.
- Provide stability and support to each team member.
- Contribute to our enjoyable workplace culture.
- Collaborating with other senior kitchen staff in the creation, costing and implementing of daily food specials.
- Setting up the kitchen and end of night pack downs when required.
- Training, leadership and mentoring all levels in the kitchen.
- Working cohesively with FOH managers and operation managers.
- Organise, schedule and delegate tasks for preparation and service.
- Hands on service when required.
- Quality control and ensure our usual consistency.
- Creative contributions towards daily specials and seasonal menus.
You’ll be perfect for this role if you have:
- A modern approach to kitchen and food management.
- The maturity to know when to “ lead “ and when to “manage” your team.
- Previous experience in a leadership role, Head chef or Sous Chef.
- A sound understanding of all kitchen operations.
- A good knowledge of food safety and safe workplace requirements.
- A positive and professional demeanour.
- A strong eye for detail and quality control.
- Previous large brigade experience would be an advantage.
