Based in Launceston, our client is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects involving reinforced, post tensioned and precast concrete, masonry, steel and timber structures and exposure to private and public projects in the areas of health, education, industrial, municipal, commercial, civil infrastructure, marine and residential projects.
About you...
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will work as part of a diverse structural team where your responsibilities will include the mentoring of junior engineers and technical staff and working as a Team leader to ensure the delivery of multidiscipline projects within agreed budget and time constraints. To further ensure your success in your new role, you will identify, develop and maintain client relationships, looking to grow the exisiting client base and embrace the positive and inclusive business and team culture.
To be considered you will need to demonstrate...
- Minimum of 7 years post graduate experience and currently hold or be eligible for CPEng with Engineer's Australia
- Consumer, Building and occupational services (CBOS) Civil Engineering Registration
- Experience in the design of commercial concrete and steel single and multi-storey structures
- Post tension experience in multi storey buildings
- Solid understanding of relevant Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and the building approval process
- Experience in the application of AS1170.4 Earthquake loadings to design solutions
- Previous experience in the use of ETABS and or SpaceGas
- Experience working in a consulting engineering firm or be able to demonstrate an understanding of a consulting businesses operations
- Demonstrated ability to liaise with clients, architects, building surveyors, contractors and councils
- Ability to write clear and concise reports and specifications.
