Form of work Entura is growing and so are our teams supporting an exciting pipeline of large-scale projects. We are now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer specialising in Transmission Line Design. Key requirements of the role are as follows: Tertiary qualifications in Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), acceptable for admission as a professional engineer to Engineers Australia, or equivalent professional body. At least, Ten years (10) experience in structural (Lattice structures) design work, with a particular emphasis on Transmission Line and substation structural design work. Strong knowledge of the following Australian Standards AS/NZS 7000, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 3995 and AS 1170. Sound experience in the use of computer design packages e.g. PLS Tower, PLS Pole; Development of conductor loads for transmission and substation structures. Experience in the development of conductor attachment point loads for transmission and substation structures through “Limit State” design method. Experience in the analysis of lattice towers, pole and gantry structures. Experience in lattice tower member connection detailing and design. Experience in existing tower augmentation and strengthening works for TL upgradation projects. Experience in lattice tower, pole and substation foundation designs. Computer literacy with a high standard of competence in the principal components of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer, and Outlook . Ability to solve complex technical and operational problems, either through a systematic approach or innovation. Previous experience in an engineering design consultancy environment.
