About This Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and organised Senior Student Experience Officer in the Faculty of Science, working in person across both the St Lucia and Gatton campuses, to deliver projects that have a focus on enhancing the Student Experience.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Plan, coordinate and evaluate Student Experience events and programs.

• Communicate with current and commencing students in an accurate, timely and engaging manner through email, social media, phone calls and in-person.

• Coordinate with staff across the university to plan, share and promote student opportunities.

• Build relationships with a range of stakeholders to understand and address Student Experience challenges.

• Collect and analyse data and report on Student Experience activities.

• Monitor project budget and expenditure, including ensuring payments are made in a timely manner.

• Participate in relevant committees and communities of practice as identified by the Student Experience Coordinator.

• Contribute to the review and development of Student Experience initiatives.

• Train and supervise casual support staff and volunteers as required.

• Other duties as directed by the Student Experience Coordinator.

This is a full-time (100%), continuing position.

At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $86,371.95 - $92,658.90, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $101,055.18 - $108,410.91 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases - at least once a year.

About You

• Completion of a Bachelor degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in Student Experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and coordinating projects to improve the Student Experience in a higher education environment or equivalent transferable skills

• Ability to work with diverse student cohorts.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders including students and senior staff.

• Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise own workload, meet deadlines and work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to take initiative, as well as work cooperatively and collaboratively.

• Ability to analyse data, develop reports, draft documents and integrate information from a variety of sources in an accurate and timely manner.

• High level of computer literacy, including the ability to learn new programs quickly.

This position requires on campus presence at both the Gatton and St Lucia Campuses each week.
