Duties
The Senior Support Services Officer contributes to the ongoing stability of IT services and the effective provision of a wide range of critical front line support activities. The role undertakes first level software, hardware and network support for customers across the department, provides a first escalation point for the Service Desk and Service Request Management Officers, and provides assistance where required to ensure the ongoing provision of call answering services.
This role is responsible for ensuring a responsive, high quality, pro-active, cooperative and dependable level of service to customers based on our value that “our customers come first”. This includes analysing user needs and developing a rapport with our customer base for the purpose of improving customer satisfaction. The role ensures end to end management of all incidents and requests until they are resolved, including those that have assigned to another group for actioning.
This role may be required to perform after hours on call support on a rostered basis.
Requirements
ITIL Qualifications preferred.
Special Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to provide a National Police Check prior to employment with the Department. Additional employment checks may be required relevant to the role being undertaken as outlined in the role statement.
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.
Remuneration
ASO5 - $84,522 to $94,003 per annum
