School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) is delivering new school buildings, major upgrades and maintenance strategies to ensure every school-aged child has access to high quality education facilities at their local public school. This encompasses the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
Join our team as a Senior Technical Design Officer, where you will play a pivotal role in providing an efficient and cost-effective design management service to SINSW. Your responsibilities include reviewing designs for compliance, offering strategic and technical advice during project development, and ensuring the coordination of external consultancy design services. Contribute to the development of sound infrastructure planning that meets organisational, legislative, and educational requirements.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- The ability to meticulously review designs for completeness, compliance with building standards, and constructability, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- A capacity for strategic and technical thinking, allowing the candidate to provide insightful advice on infrastructure design issues and align solutions with Educational Facilities Standards and Guidelines (EFSG) and best design practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate external consultancy design services, ensuring clear and timely communication with stakeholders, consultants, and internal teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Property or a related discipline and/or equivalent, relevant knowledge or experience.
- Flexibility to travel to state-wide locations.
- A current and valid driver’s licence
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the value of public education.
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s and upholding the and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
