Water Corporation provides water and sewage services throughout Western Australia. We manage trade wastewater and backflow prevention compliance programs to the prescribed regulations, policies and standards to ensure that customer-related activities do not compromise the integrity or operation of Corporation’s services and assets.
About you
Have a tertiary qualification in science or engineering related discipline?
Enjoy delivering excellent customer service and building quality relationships with relevant stakeholders at all levels?
Eager to learn, develop, and work within a highly structured, well defined and documented processes and are always on the lookout for ways to improve on them?
Have some previous skills and experience in managing customer compliance in a technical or regulatory field such as environmental, pollution control, waste management or similar?
If you answered yes to the above questions along with key skills and experiences below, we are seeking someone like you to join our trade wastewater and service protection team.
Key skills and experience:
- Have a degree level qualification in science or engineering discipline.
- Have well rounded technical, problem solving, analytical skills and ability to follow a documented process.
- Ability to undertake work both in the office and the field.
- Have excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills and history of excellent customer service
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively plan and schedule work within a structured process-based environment.
- Sound computer skills, especially in the use of Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) and ability to learn new business software systems.
- Previous experience in managing compliance requirements in a technical or regulatory field is desirable although not essential.
- Current driver’s licence – Minimum C Class
Work in a team environment to deliver the Corporation's Trade Waste and/or Backflow Prevention compliance management programs.
Plan, schedule and perform a variety of office and field -based activities related to our customer compliance management programs.
Evaluate, assess and translate technical information or legislative requirements to our customers and provide a high-quality customer service to Commercial and Industrial customers to ensure compliance requirements are met.
You will receive on the job training and support to develop the skills related to Trade Waste and Backflow Prevention compliance management.
