The ability to role model outstanding employability skills and to work with students in a teaching/training capacity and can work as part of a team, is essential to be successful in this position.The Farm Technical Officer will assist with the duties associated with the running of the College Farm and deliver agricultural training under supervision and assist in the assessment of student skills. To fulfil these requirements, the successful applicant will need a C-class driver’s license and be supported to gain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, as well as a HR license within 12 months of commencement, all funded by the College. You will be required to help in a wide range of general agricultural tasks including supporting cropping and livestock production systems. These duties typically involve assisting with the care of livestock like cattle, sheep, or pigs, operating machinery and equipment, and maintaining the farm's infrastructure such as fences. On top of the Level 1, 2, and 3 salary packages stated, an additional 150 hrs overtime per year is paid fortnightly as part of the Technical Officer salary package and this is used during rostered weekend duties and as required and agreed on by the Manager and Technical Officer.
