The role
As a Senior Technical Officer in the Enforcement Branch, you will form part of a small team responsible for carrying out technical reviews and assessments and preparing detailed technical reports and advice as part of the investigation of complaints about disciplinary matters and statutory offences involving registered building surveyors.
Your highly developed and specialised skills, experience and knowledge in building surveying, and your ability to prepare detailed technical reports for the lay reader will be key to your success in this role.
You will also bring to the role your high-level analytical skills and a professional approach to everything you do.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months.

- Demonstrated high-level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated highly-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare comprehensive, easy-to-read written reports on technical matters.
Evidence of your registration as a building surveyor under the Building Services (Registration) Act 2011 (WA).
