To find out more about our dynamic customer-focused teams, visit .The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Telephony & Data Analyst to join an established team designing, developing, deploying, and operating the telephony and data infrastructure that underpins all IT services and other IT-enabled functions across the University. This includes Newcastle’s campus here in the UK and our international locations in Malaysia and Singapore. This vacancy comes at a time of great change within the Telephony & Data Team, as we plan the next transformation of services to better support evolving needs of the University and its users. This transformation will include a complete replacement of the University network infrastructure as well a move to MS Teams based telephony. There will also be changes to supporting systems and services, and an increasing use of automation techniques and technologies which will support flexible, reliable and responsive delivery of the IT services our users and stakeholders require.In this role you will be responsible for design and support of all telephony and data services to the University including structured cabling. Acting as a senior subject matter expert (SME) for the area, as well as delivering excellent operational support and proactive measurement and monitoring of services. The role acts as a mentor and coach to other members of the team and assists the team manager in delivering the overall objectives.
