About the role
As a Senior Urban Planner, you will be at the forefront of the Urban Planning Team, delivering professional, efficient, and effective planning services to Council and the community of Glen Eira.
Our Senior Urban Planners lead applications while also mentoring others in the team. They work with stakeholders and are solutions based producing quality planning results.
Day to day duties include but not limited to:
- Processing and preparing recommendations for planning applications and requests for more complex applications
- Delivering efficient and effective planning solutions
- Presenting planning submissions at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Planning Panels, and Magistrates Court
- Understanding and adapting to changes to planning legislation, policy, and processes and procedures
- Contribute to the monitoring and effectiveness of planning policies and local development trends

The following is also required:
- A tertiary qualification in town planning or related field
- 3+ years' relevant industry experience
- Strong knowledge of State and Local planning issues
