Permanent Full Time - 38 hours per week
Salary: Band 6 - $90,571 - $99,983 + 11 %superannuation

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated person forthe role of Senior Urban Planner. The successful candidate willwork within the dynamic and supportive Statutory Planning Team tofacilitate and manage future development in Hobsons Bay.
What you’ll be working on
- Assessment and determination of complex planning applications relating to heritage, multi-dwelling, subdivision, industrial and commercial developments.
- Providing planning advice and information to the community and junior members of staff.
- Implementing the department’s Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Assisting in the development of policies and other strategic planning projects.
What you need to succeed
- A tertiary qualification in Statutory Planning or a related discipline.
- A current Victorian driver’s license.
- A well-developed understanding of Statutory Planning legislation, the planning framework and planning principles as they operate in Victoria.
- A strong customer focus and confidence in dealing with customers via all modes of communication.
- An aptitude for detail, accuracy and thoroughness in work undertaken.
- Ability to work within a team, provide direction to other members as well as to be able to work with limited supervision.
