ABOUT THE ROLE

The Well Integrity Engineer is responsible for delivering remedial workover and abandonment engineering scopes of work including generation of remedial strategies, workover programs, equipment specifications and well integrity assessments. In addition to the front end well planning, the Well Integrity Engineer will project manage the operational execution to safely and efficiently deliver Origin’s well integrity and abandonment requirements on budget and schedule.

This position is primarily office based, although field trips are expected.

• Project manage the operational execution to safely and efficiently deliver Origin’s well workover requirements on budget and schedule.
• Well design and Operational program preparation
• Interfacing with Origin Well Site Representatives (WSR’s) to execute well programs and objectives
• Utilise the Management of Change (MOC) Framework to manage operational changes/program deviations
• Ensuring all well designs and operations comply with Origin Standards and government regulations
• Continous improvement of OE Completion and Workover operations
• Well Completion Engineering from conception to field execution through generation of cost estimates, well completion design, well operational procedures and programs, and new well technology implementation.

ABOUT YOU

You will role model Origin’s values and leadership habits, actively support change initiatives in support of assets and overall IG strategy and outcomes. You will be known for your ability to deliver through effective leadership and cross functional collaboration.

More about you

• Safety culture focussed with ability to positively influence and continually build upon.
• 10 years experience in land based oil and gas development projects or services; experience in remedial well abandonment operations
• Experience in well integrity diagnostics
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering

Strong communication skills being able to drive collaborative results from various internal and external groups such as Drilling, Supply Chain, Production Engineering, and Contractors. * Completions & Workover engineering / operational experience within Queensland CSG industry is desirable

• Experienced and conversant in other upstream technical disciplines such as petroleum engineering, projects construction, geoscience and environment is desirable
