The successful applicant will be expected to move to Kununurra WA. Transport related costs maybe something that the Department may assist with. Regional subsidized housing can also be provided for the successful applicant. It is all here and ready and waiting for the right person really.
We have a Senior Youth Justice Officer (SYJO) position available in the magnificent East Kimberley Region of Western Australia, where there is a myriad of sights to see and activities to explore in the time off away from the office.
The SYJO will be based at the Kununurra office of the East Kimberley Regional Youth Justice Services, will work in the picturesque region of the remote East Kimberley of Western Australia. The town of Kununurra is the social hub of the East Kimberley. The successful applicant will use research led, contemporary best practice assessments and interventions to affect those positive behavior changes in working with young people who are subject to community-based orders and young people who are at risk of offending.
The SYJO will be driven, will have the ability to achieve great results for our young people and be able to provide guidance and mentorship of other staff in the Centre. The Centre is one of a strong team culture and the staff are invested in each other’s success. The successful applicant will need to be someone who thrives in a strong, close-knit team. Your role will undertake duties with an understanding of, and sensitivity to, diverse cultural groups. As part of the role, a once off, Regional Incentive of $7884 will be paid after 12 months of service.
