The Role
Paratus Clinical Research is looking for a full-time HR Manager. As a manager, you will hold a crucial position within our team overseeing all aspects of the Human Resources function, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employee relations. The role is also actively engaged with the implementation of strategic HR initiatives to provide guidance and support to employees and ensure the smooth running of HR processes and alignment with our business objectives
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee the talent acquisition and onboarding process including job postings, interviews, references, background checks, new hire orientation, employee data entry and employee personnel files.
- Provide guidance and assistance to the rest of the managers and employees in all Human Resources matters. Support all employee lifecycle matters.
- Manage complex people issues with professionalism.
- Oversee HR administrative tasks including maintaining employee records, managing HR systems, and preparing reports for management.
- In conjunction with the outsourced payroll, prepare and distribute salaries and wages accurately and on time along with monthly reconciliations for payroll, payroll tax, insurance and superannuation payments and authorised payroll deductions.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonus plans, and employee benefits packages.
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures, user manuals, training slides, etc, that align with the organization's goals and comply with legal requirements. Ensure that contents are clearly communicated.
- Monitoring and implementing any regulatory changes to policies and procedures as required.
- Identify training needs and administer employee training programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including equal employment opportunity, wage and hour laws, and workplace health and safety regulations. Own and internally promote the WHS process.
- Develop and implement performance management processes, including new hire evaluation during probationary period, annual performance evaluation, and performance improvement program. Link performance to compensation or incentive programs to convey a culture of pay for performance.
- Authorize or revoke employee access to platforms according to predefined rules.
- Implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Stay informed about changes in HR standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure ongoing professional growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Source different service vendors including staffing agencies, payroll, insurance, background checks, etc to control cost and ensure satisfactory service.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events within the organization. (eg Mid-year event, Christmas event). Lead wellbeing initiatives and team-bonding events to promote a positive work culture.
- Oversee employee exit process including exit interviews, company property return, etc. and ensure concerns are addressed properly to the management and action plans are put in place for improvement.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources.
- Relevant MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 3 to 5 years Human Resources experience. (private sector)
- Ability to work flexible hours and business travel as needed.
- Experience with Human Resources systems and payment processing platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
