The Role
Reporting Directly to our Service Manager Marck Abercombie We are seeking a Service Advisor to act as the vital link between our valued customers and our expert technical team.
Responsibilities
- Meet and Greet: Welcome all customers upon their arrival.
- Phone Enquiries: Handle phone enquiries and bookings.
- Invoice Management: Cost repair invoices for retail, fleet, warranty, and internal accounts.
- Customer Updates: Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle.
- Authorisation: Seek approval from fleet companies for repairs and services.
- Workshop Coordination: Collaborate with the Workshop Controller to allocate work to workshop staff.
- Customer Consultation: Provide in-depth information and alternatives for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm service appointments, vehicle drop-offs, and pick-ups.
- Workflow Oversight: Manage and supervise the service department's workflow.
- Customer Follow-up: Notify customers about service changes and vehicle readiness.
- Relationship Building: Maintain positive customer relations to secure repeat business.
Skills & Experience
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with customers.
- Strong Work Ethic & Positive Attitude: A commitment to excellence and a proactive mindset.
- Current Driver's License: Mandatory for the role.
- Industry Acumen: Prior experience in the motor industry is a significant advantage.
- Organisational Skills: Proficiency in multitasking without compromising on quality.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with industry-specific software and office365 is essential.
