About the Role:
The Service Coordinator will play a key role for the Headway ABI National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Support Services, under the general direction of the Service Manager. This role will oversee the engagement and implementation of the Headway ABI suite and other independent registered supports and services under NDIS. The primary focus will be overseeing the the effective and efficient management of client Supported Independent Living (SIL), Short Term Accommodation (STA), Respite and Emergency Accommodation and Community Services.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Workforce Supervision: Ensure client-centred service delivery through management and supervision of a qualified workforce.
- Roster Management: Handle rosters and scheduling for effective operation of accommodations, aligning with client needs.
- Policy Establishment: Establish and review policies and procedures for SIL, STA and Respite and Emergency Accommodation and Community Services, based on operational needs.
- Client Assistance: Assist clients and their supports in understanding their NDIS plan, identifying service options within funding allocation, and building their own capacity.

- NDIS Knowledge: Experience and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

- Relevant Experience: Proven experience in a similar role in the disability, health, or community services sectors.
- Networking Skills: Ability to develop effective working relationships and achieve client goals.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to relate and demonstrate respect to clients, families, stakeholders, and staff.
- Communication Strategies: Successful implementation of services and programs through effective communication.
- Communication Skills: High level written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution.
- Time Management: Proven time management and organizing skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Computer Literacy: Demonstrated skills in using Microsoft Office Suite and client case note applications (CTARS).
- KPI Achievement: Ability to meet assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through the client billing process.
