Our Service Delivery team members work with our Managed Services team to ensure successful outcomes for all. We are looking for a Service Delivery Manager experienced in agile delivery to coordinate the technical uplift and operational stability of our customer base. We support our clients in delivering DevOps as a Service including Site Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering to improve the Developer Experience and uplift our client’s environments and internal capabilities.
About the role:
As a Service Delivery Manager in our business, you will develop and grow trusted relationships with our team, clients and partners which complement the company’s commercial and strategic relationships. This will be a hybrid role, as well as Service Delivery you will be providing delivery oversight to projects and engagements in a billable capacity.
In your role as a Service Delivery Manager, you will:
- Use Agile delivery practices to provide Service Delivery Management that leverages the current and future architectural state combined with business knowledge using some of the latest cloud technologies patterns and methodologies
- Lead a collaborative planning approach, prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the Managed Services team
- Provide project delivery oversight including high-level architecture, team/delivery oversight
- Own and develop customer and partner relationships
- People leadership and guidance to customers and engineers.
- End-to-end ownership of customer environments; including coordination and management of engineers and/or consultants
- Be a point of escalation for high-severity incidents as they occur.
- Perform project governance activities such as scope, budget and backlog management
- Liaise with the engineering team, clients, vendors and stakeholders using multiple communication channels to build, prioritise and manage the delivery backlog
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients as a source of informed, reliable, professional advice about solution options based on the Engineer’s specific skills and knowledge.
- Identify and complete tasks with minimal supervision and provide oversight and guidance to all level engineers
- Willingness to continually upskill; including learning new technologies, obtaining new certifications and building knowledge in AWS.
- Build, recognise and promptly advise Mantel Group management of potential follow-on business opportunities.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A servant leadership style is a key element to this role - facilitation and collaboration to remove blockers and dependencies to ensure successful delivery.
- Commercial experience in Agile Delivery
- Previous experience managing larger enterprise customers that require a higher level of governance and compliance.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills, including strong stakeholder management, presentation and communication skills
- Specialist knowledge of several industries or segments, coupled with strong analytical skills.
- Bring a positive can-do attitude to the team
- Ability to lead and mentor others where appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to reporting deadlines along with commercial experience in writing and communicating key reporting metrics and delivery status to key stakeholders.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with customers and guide them to maximise value
