Qualifications & experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in related fields, including Nursing, Community Service, Social Work, Psychology
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a disability or children's services setting
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and Child Safety services market, including its funding model, support categories, and participant eligibility criteria. Knowledge of disability services and support coordination is beneficial in this role.
- Energetic and flexible behavioural style which can promote positive outcomes for Arthur Care business.
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated track record in customer service and experience working with the customer at the focus of everything we do.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage stakeholders, deliver presentations, and negotiate NDIS plans. Ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences.
Tasks & responsibilities
- The Team Leader - Service Delivery will oversee the operations and performance of a team that provides support and services to individuals with disabilities and children in need of protection, and have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.
- Lead a team to provide individualised planning, case management and delivery of positive choice support to people with a disability and young people to enable them to work towards or maintain independence at home and in the community.
- Work with clients to develop individualised care plans for their support, which includes a range of supports to enable them to work towards maintaining independence at home and in the community. Regularly monitor and review individualised plans to ensure client outcomes are being achieved.
- As directed by the Operations Manager, establish relationships with key external stakeholders, such as schools, healthcare providers and community service providers, Collaborate with these agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to Service Delivery.
- Coordinate the day to day aspects of Service Delivery to ensure optimal utilisation of resources, including effective rostering, meeting regulatory requirements and customer service expectations.
- Ensure the services provided to individuals with disabilities and children are delivered in accordance with the relevant policies, procedures and regulations. Offer guidance and support to Support Workers in managing challenging situations.
- Support the identification of new referrals and follow up on new business opportunities and referrals through a range of activities, including but not limited to networking, cold calling, social media, warm leads and attending community and industry events.
- Lead regular communication with management, co-workers, clients and families by facilitating meetings and completing reports as required, escalating barriers and risks to the Operations Manager, as required.
- As directed by the Operations Manager, assist in NDIS and Child Safety-related activities including the preparation of quotes, service agreements and bookings, as well as monitoring the portal management.
- Comply with Arthur Care organisational policies and procedures, relevant to this position, which include WHS and quality, and is in alignment with the NDIS Safeguarding Commission and NIISQ Act and Regulations.
