About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Desk Analyst to join our team. As a Service Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for providing first-line support to our clients, resolving technical issues, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering efficient and effective support services. This is an office based position located at our Head Office in Benowa QLD.  

Key responsibilities include

  • Provide timely and effective problem solving and technical assistance to end-users on diverse software applications and hardware systems.
  • Conduct individual and/or group instruction and training for staff on new or updated technologies and ensure that training materials are up-to-date and effective.
  • Perform varied technical assistance and maintenance duties, including updating the record-keeping system, documenting projects, and maintaining user instructions.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of users in Active Directory, Office 365, and other software systems, ensuring that access privileges are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform basic technological systems support, maintenance, and testing to ensure proper upkeep of systems. Troubleshoot and resolve simple system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
  • Participate in the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.
  • Participate in research and development initiatives and aid in the implementation of new technologies.
  • Perform the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and other related equipment and devices.
  • Maintain knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and/or systems.
  • Assist with the management and documentation of assigned projects, writing and maintaining user instructions related to assigned projects, and ensure that project goals and deadlines are met.

To be successful in this role you will need

  • Knowledge of basic IT systems such as Operating systems, Microsoft Office, Remote Management Systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service and problem solving.
  • Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users, of various levels of technical knowledge, on the use of PC and/or server applications and systems.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Ability to analyse and resolve basic computer and network problems.
  • Ability to follow preventive maintenance processes on systems software, applications, hardware, networking, and communications.
  • Strong passion for continuous learning of current technological developments/trends.
  • Team player with the ability to aid other technical support staff in completing required tasks

Desirable

  • Currently studying or completed a degree in Information Technology.
  • Any industry-recognised technical certifications are highly regarded, such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • Experience in a Microsoft-oriented business with understanding of physical servers running VMware ESXi, Microsoft Server (various versions), Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with construction industry specific software such as Databuild, OnSite Companion BlueBeam, EstateMaster and Autodesk/Revit.
