Service Desk Analyst

Are you a Service desk analyst with a long-term plan to move into DevOps/ Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, Network Engineering or Application support and development working with the latest technologies? If so then our clients we are hiring for have a strong demonstrated history of promoting Service desk members who performed exceptionally.

Salary: $75000 - 88,000 (including superannuation)

WFH: Hybrid work environment (min 3 days onsite)

About the Role:

As the Service Desk Analyst, you will be accountable for working directly with end users to support medium-sized organizations providing level 1 and level 2 support. This role will provide broad exposure to both hardware/applications with learning skills beyond typical Microsoft environments. You will have real collaboration working closely with technical teams in application support, cyber security and infrastructure to help resolve escalated requests, instead of just simply sending emails to a team you never spoke to or met, one of the key benefits of medium sized IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first point of contact for all end-users seeking technical assistance, via phone, email and in-person onsite at Bendigo office.
  • Track and maintain records within the ticketing system for all Service desk incidents, knowledge base and IT assets,
  • Provide effective communications to all team members and end users with on time updates for incidents and requests.
  • Proactively work with end-users, Service desk members and the wider IT team members to identify solutions, mitigate common issues, all while contributing to the Service desk knowledge base.

About You

You’re a great communicator coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills, who provides exceptional customer service. You may be early or late in your IT career but stuck in an environment that leaves people at the support desk forever without any growth plans to move into cloud infrastructure engineering, application support/development or network engineering. You chose to work in IT because you are passionate about it and therefore eager to learn more about technology.

Skills and Experience:

  • Must have 2+ years of experience working within Level 1 and 2 Service desk environments.
  • Communications skills must be excellent both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have effective task, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Good skills at troubleshooting and fulfilling service requests within Active Directory, Teams, Outlook, Exchange, Office 365, and General hardware requests (i.e laptop image reinstall).
  • Experience troubleshooting video conferencing equipment will be highly regarded, however with demonstrated skills from the items above we are confident you can learn that quickly.
