United Fluid Power (UFP) is currently recruiting a Service Manager to join their South West Team. Applicants from Bunbury and surrounding towns are encouraged to apply.
UFP is an expanding WA owned and operated business, that has established themselves as a leader in the maintenance and engineering of fluid power systems, across all industries.
Based in Bunbury, on offer is a permanent full-time residential position on a 5/2 roster. The role will involve routine travel to the Peel region, and involves working around various refineries, mine sites and port facilities. As a leadership opportunity, UFP is looking for a motivated candidate, who is experienced managing operational teams, technical work scopes and has a strong commitment to company values and QHSE.
Reporting to the South West Manager, you will provide leadership, guidance and technical support to the South West team, with a focus on improving safety, culture, performance and efficiency. The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to manage multiple work areas, meet planned maintenance targets and achieve set contract KPI’s.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure all teams follow safety systems, processes and procedures
- Promote and coach high performance in work execution and enhance the technical knowledge of team members
- Implement Continuous Improvement activities that support long term improvement
- Support the development of the monthly revenue forecast and annual budget
- Provide direction and guidance to the maintenance teams
- Ensure maintenance team activities are aligned with the overall business objectives
- Maintain an efficient and motivated workforce
- Achieve weekly planned maintenance targets
- Provide excellent customer service
- Creation of commercial proposals for workshop and site based scopes of work
About the candidate:
- Relevant Trade qualification
- Computer literate with knowledge of spreadsheets, scheduling and word processing applications
- Strong relationship skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Good time management and work prioritisation skills
- Knowledge of maintenance planning principles and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
- Ability to work in and develop a team environment
- A continuous improvement mindset
