Job description

This role is what every Childcare Manager dreams of! This Service Manager role at Nicholls OSHClub is to oversee a large OSHC service, lead a dedicated team, engage with the school community, and build key relationships with the school, families, and children with the support of your Regional Director.

A large service with an existing team of Coordinators, Assistant Coordinators, and Educators, this service is designed for excellence. Licensed for over 100 children per day, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and grow a high-quality OSHC program. Nicholls OSHClub is the flagship service for the ACT, offering 264 places and serving two school communities. Our unique facility, located between both schools, includes two dedicated spaces and a versatile pack up/pack down hall. With convenient onsite parking, our service is easily accessible.

In addition to paid admin hours every week, every term you will have opportunities for professional development and staff meetings. As a part of a national company, we have centralised teams to manage administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on providing exceptional experiences for children and leading your team.

About the role:

Leading a team of Coordinators and Educators, you will manage a service in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state-specific office, regular visits and mentorship from an experienced Regional Leader. The role is fulltime (38 hours per week), structured in block shifts to support work-life balance, with approximately 5.5 hours per week in direct ratio hours, along with responsibilities as an Educational Leader.

  • Develop and facilitate an engaging, child-centered program.
  • Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
  • Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of your service.
  • Ensure quality and compliance in service delivery in line with the NQF.
  • Grow attendance to support children and families.

About us:

  • Current and valid Working with Children Check, or state-required check.
  • Clear and professional communication.

What's in it for you?

  • Discounted Health Insurance - get a discount off your premium with Bupa.
  • Discounted Fitness and Wellbeing - discounted gym membership at over 400 Gyms/Studios, up to 50% off fitness & wellbeing benefits through Wherefit.
  • Lucrative Employee Referral Program - earn up to $750 for an employee referral via Care Friends.
  • Employee assistance program for your wellbeing.

PLUS:

  • Discounts for your children to attend our services.
  • Awards and recognition for performance and service.
  • We pay for your first aid qualifications and police checks, and pay you to train.
