What's it all about?
Conveniently based in our Perth Branch at Kewdale we are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join the team of staff responsible for servicing our customer’s machine tools via warranty, preventative maintenance, and break-down repairs.
You’ll be involved in all aspects of service, repairs and training both within the workshop and our customer's place of business. You’ll also be inspecting, commissioning, and installing industrial machinery.
We’ll provide training and guidance, and you’ll develop an extensive and impressive set of skills working with us.
Metropolitan and regional travel required.
What do you need to do in the role?
• As you’ll be in frequent contact with Hare and Forbes customers and will need to be well spoken and well presented.
• Relevant Trade qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience in mechanical fitting with a broad range of engineering equipment.
• An ability to diagnose machine faults using your trade skills.
• Good attention to detail
• Minimum C class driver’s license and a good driving history
What will you be doing?
• Mechanical repair and breakdown maintenance of industrial machinery.
• Installation and commissioning of industrial machinery.
• Preventative maintenance and servicing.
• Workshop repairs and testing.
• Keeping detailed records of identified problems, processes to undertake repairs and parts required.
• Accurate time and record keeping – keeping accurate records to assist in fair billing of clientele.
Other desirable skills that would be helpful
- Electrical knowledge, plus experience with electronics and PLCs.
- Confident in the use of computers, and willing to adopt a flexible approach to working hours when required.
- Forklift license
- Restricted Electrical license
- Current First aid
- Current Low Voltage Rescue and Resuscitation.
