The Department is looking to engage an enthusiastic ServiceNow Developer to join a multi-disciplinary delivery team. You will support and actively contribute to the development and administration of the ServiceNow platform. This role includes the design and implementation of both custom and out-of-the-box solutions on the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
The role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Develop ServiceNow solutions including scripting, configuration, integrations, and customisations.
- Collaborate with business analysts, user researchers and service designers to understand business requirements and translate them into iterative prototypes through to the development of final working solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications and modules.
- Provide advanced technical support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes and root cause analysis.
- Ensure system stability and performance by performing regular maintenance and upgrades.
- Work in accordance with agile principles and practices including participation in agile ceremonies.
- Document all technical designs, specifications, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to develop best practices for ServiceNow development.
- Train and mentor junior developers.
- Stay on top of new ServiceNow features and functionalities and incorporate them into the development process.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform by providing recommendations for process and system enhancements.
- Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow applications and integrations using best practices and standards.
- Proficient in developing and customize ServiceNow modules, workflows, forms, and scripts
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise in ServiceNow that meet business requirements.
- Knowledge and experience of ServiceNow solutions.
- Understand and apply ITIL processes and best practices.
- Experience in using ServiceNow modules - ITSM, ITOM and HR.
- Monitor system health and proactively address any issues to minimize downtime
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft development practices, platforms, and technologies, including:
- Office 365 platforms
- SharePoint
- Azure DevOps
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate clearly between business areas and technical teams.
Contract term: 12 month contract with 2 x 12 monrh contract extension options pending budget and delegate approval .
Security Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain a NV1 security clearance.
