As the Settlement Team Manager in the credit division, you will be part of an enthusiastic, fast paced and results driven team who pride themselves on efficiency and accuracy.
In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of loan management and settlement professionals who look after everything from loan account set ups for a wide range of loan types across Investment, Commercial and Construction Real Estate.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating movement of funds to third parties and preparing relevant financial documentation.
The key responsibilities include:
- Liaising with Credit Team, confirming calculation of figures for settlement and arranging settlement funding with the Finance Team and /or Trust Management Team
- Liaising with Credit and Origination regarding loan variations and extensions and loan reviews/watch lists and discharges.
- Arrears management and support to the credit team to manage any default and recovery action.
- Implementation and ongoing review and management of external Loan Servicing provider, verifying, and ensuring accurate data integrity, collections, and reporting.
- Evaluating business processes in loan management, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
You are highly motivated and enthusiastic with a team-based mindset.
- 8+ years in commercial loan management / portfolio management.
- Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or equivalent
- Solid understanding of commercial finance, including Real Estate credit
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to upskill team members
- Shows initiative, has strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Can manage team workloads
- Willing to help colleagues achieve team KPIs
- Prides yourself on your verbal and written communication skills
- Is able to demonstrate proficiency with a variety of computer systems, including a working knowledge of Excel.
