Your new role
The SharePoint Administration role is pivotal in offering technical guidance and leadership to a cadre of IT professionals, ensuring the seamless functionality of the institution's SharePoint and Microsoft 365 framework. The individual in this role dispenses expert counsel regarding SharePoint and M365, encompassing aspects of security and policy adherence. Additionally, this role integrates into a broader virtual collective dedicated to providing comprehensive IT support across the campus. This role capitalizes on exceptional interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with various ISTS units, as well as academic and professional personnel across all echelons, and students. This collaboration aims to address and rectify issues related to SharePoint technology and security. Moreover, the position entails delivering advanced support in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) domains.
The position entails leading and inspiring a team of IT experts in managing both operational and developmental SharePoint and M365 environments. This includes:

• System Configuration: Setting up the SharePoint infrastructure, integrating applications, and establishing libraries.
• User Management: Adding users, managing document library access, and assigning permissions.
• Content Migration: Transferring content across different sites or tenancies as needed.
• Technical Support: Addressing and resolving any SharePoint-related technical issues and providing user support and training.

Additionally, the role involves:

• Data Management: Overseeing data security, retrieval, and backup processes to safeguard against data loss and mitigate institutional risk, which includes data cleanup and archiving for optimal storage management and adjusting settings based on usage reports for enhanced user experience.

What you'll need to succeed

• The role requires a tertiary qualification and proven expertise in the field.
• A deep knowledge of SharePoint Administration , with a focus on cybersecurity and managing large, complex sites.
• Proficiency in data analytics and problem-solving .
• Experience in technical leadership , staff supervision, and managing both day-to-day operations and significant projects.
• A track record of successfully overseeing large-scale projects .
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills , with a dedication to exceptional customer service.
• Expertise in Windows operating systems , PowerBI , PowerShell , Office 365 , and other relevant software, including M365 management technologies .
• A thorough understanding of software licensing
