About us:
We are KHATT PTY PLD, known as General Steed Products (GSP), specializing in the design, supply and installation of high-quality structural steel frame sheds, located in Kelmscott, Western Australia.
The business is supplying for a variety of applications, including machinery sheds, hay sheds, chemical/fertilizer sheds, general purpose storage sheds, livestock shelters, stock yards, all the way down to client smaller projects. Most of our fabrication is completed in-house, allowing us the parameters to control not only production time, but most importantly, the high quality of our products for which we are known and recognized for.
As our business undergoes expansion, we are actively seeking qualified candidates who can promptly integrate into our team and contribute to the successful completion of several short-term projects. The anticipated duration of these projects spans from mid-April to late July. We are eager to onboard individuals who can swiftly join our workforce and align with our project timelines.
About the Role and key responsibilities:
To be considered for the position outlined below, the following qualifications and attributes are requisite:
- A robust background in Structural Steel Sheds General Steel Products and experience spanning several years within the Sheet Metal Industry.
- Proficiency in executing tasks independently or collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating excellence in welding responsibilities.
- Adherence to directives from the workshop Leading Hand or Supervisor, ensuring meticulous execution of assigned instructions.
- Competence in providing guidance, training, and supervision to junior Welders.
- Rigorous inspection of materials and consumables in accordance with weld procedures prior to utilization.
- Proficiency in welding Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminium.
- Proficient interpretation of Technical Drawings and adeptness in carrying out tasks without necessitating explicit direction.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Adaptability in undertaking diverse work duties, capable of managing projects of varying scales.
- Display of maturity, respect, and an unwavering commitment to a 'safety-first' ethos in both workshop and onsite environments.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to work independently and organise all materials, tools.
- Need to work to deadlines and budgets and be able to troubleshoot and problem solve as required to complete the assigned works.
