This position is based at our Derrimut manufacturing site and reports to the Production Manager. The shift pattern for this role is Monday to Friday 8 hours rotating through day, afternoon and night shift.Responsibilities include:Supervise, motivate, and assign responsibilities to operators to ensure production schedule targets are metEnsure that all products are running within specification and designated out-put ratesReview of daily programs and communicate to shift extruders to meet production planAssist with the start-up of extrusion lines and any work orders for size changesEnsure the shift log entries accurately reflect the shift’s daily activities in detailResponsible for managing site OH&S policies & procedures including injury management and reportingCommunicating with all stakeholders fostering a proactive working culture and high employee moraleEnsure that production personnel are vigilant in the use and communication of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to avoid injury or damage arising out of poor work practiceMonitor casual employees and ensure they have demonstrated the competence required to work safely unsupervised when they are hired to workMonitor and record all employee overtime, absenteeism and related concernsEnsure production count sheets and scrap sheets are correctly completedAbout YouAt least 3 years’ experience in a similar Shift Supervisor roleA strong technical backgroundA motivation to be involved in continuous improvement activitiesA demonstrated safety-first approach to work activitiesThe ability to lead and provide coaching/training to othersDemonstrated experience using computer systems, specifically MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong literacy and numeracy skillsProven ability to problem solve and delegate when requiredDemonstrated time management and organisational skillsBenefitsIndustry paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carersAnnual bonus based on performanceAccess to our Employee Assistance Program for staff and family membersEmployee Recognition Programs and Service AwardsGlobal organisation with career development opportunitiesWe are committed to creating a workplace that values diversity and inclusivity.
