About the role
We are looking for a Shipping / Logistics Coordinator to work with our Finance & Administration Team and help us maximise business efficiency. This is a new role, with a focus on ensuring all incoming and outgoing international freight shipments adhere to local customs regulations and are delivered in a timely and cost effective manner.
Tasks include:
- Manage/arrange overseas supplier imports as well as export bookings (including booking freight, checking pricing, managing paperwork, and managing local customs requirements)
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding delivery requirements & timing
- Follow up shipping invoices and payments as required
- Manage damaged deliveries including insurance claims as required
- Booking in stock and verifying freight invoices
- Assisting with other accounting and administration tasks as required
What you will bring to the role
- Highly self motivated and organised
- Sound numeracy and data entry skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in a similar role
- Accounting and inventory software experience ideal
- Team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Problem solving skills
- Computer literate with intermediate Office 365 skills
